Mechanical rename produced by scripts/msd-rename.cjs: gsd/Gsd/GSD -> msd/Msd/MSD
across contents and paths, upstream package/repo coordinates -> @golem15/msd-core
and golem15com/msd-core. Deep links into upstream history, sibling upstream
packages, the GSD-2 import feature, CHANGELOG.md and .changeset/ are kept as-is.
Hand edits on top: MSD block-letter banner and logos, LICENSE copyright line,
package/plugin identity, regenerated lockfile, install-tree fixtures, derived
registries and benchmark baseline; migration checksum baseline re-locked
(MSD keeps its own install state, so no install had applied the old sums);
sort-order and regex-escaped expectations in tests adjusted.
Fold 48 issue-named gsd-tools CLI regression files into the canonical test file
that owns each subcommand subject (state, roadmap, phase, milestone, audit, config,
router/dispatch, stats, verify, health, etc.), preserving every assertion and its
origin issue number as provenance (block-scoped describe wrappers, 299 subtests
conserved 1:1). No monolithic gsd-tools.test.cjs created — routes into 18 existing
per-subject suites.
Removes 48 tests/ files. Regenerates regression-name allowlist (271->231), ratchets
the file-count allowlist across 6 buckets (audit/milestone/phase/roadmap/state/verify),
and makes 10 relocated allow-test-rule exemptions issue-ref-compliant (ADR-456; prunes
10 stale ids). Repoints one CONTEXT.md symptom ref and ADR-3524's parity-test ref.
lint:ci green.
Part of epic #1969. Closes#1971.

* fix(#1776): scope prune phase resolution to ## Current Position
cmdStatePrune resolved the current phase by extracting the `Phase` field over
the WHOLE STATE.md body. stateExtractField's fallback chain ends in a pipe-table
match (`| Phase | N |`), so a STATE.md lacking a `Current Phase` field and a
prose `Phase:` line — but carrying an unrelated `Phase`-labelled table row (e.g.
a historical verification table) — resolved that stale table cell as the current
phase and computed a wrong cutoff (bailing "Only N phases" or pruning at a stale
boundary).
Resolve the phase via the same canonical chain buildStateFrontmatter uses —
frontmatter `current_phase` → `Current Phase` field → prose `Phase: X of Y` —
but scope ONLY the prose term to the `## Current Position` section via the
fence-aware locateCurrentPosition seam (new exported sliceCurrentPositionSection).
Frontmatter and the explicit `Current Phase` field stay document-wide (they are
unambiguous); the shared stateExtractField is not narrowed for any other caller.
Tests (folded into tests/state-prune.test.cjs): a stray `| Phase | 2 |` table
with the real phase in frontmatter no longer drives the cutoff (fail-first on
base); template-conformant STATE.md is unchanged; and a fast-check
boundary-containment property that a `| Phase | N |` row outside Current Position
never leaks into the scoped resolution.

- Extend cmdStatePrune to prune Performance Metrics table rows older than cutoff
- Add workflow.auto_prune_state config key (default: false)
- Call cmdStatePrune automatically in cmdPhaseComplete when enabled
- Document workflow.auto_prune_state in planning-config.md reference
- Add silent option to cmdStatePrune for programmatic use without stdout
Closes#2087

Review feedback from @trek-e — address scope gaps:
1. **--dry-run mode** — New flag that computes what would be pruned
without modifying STATE.md. Returns structured output showing
per-section counts so users can verify before committing.
2. **Resolved blocker pruning** — In addition to decisions and
recently-completed entries, now prunes entries in the Blockers
section that are marked resolved (~~strikethrough~~ or [RESOLVED]
prefix) AND reference a phase older than the cutoff. Unresolved
blockers are preserved regardless of age.
3. **Tests** — Added tests/state-prune.test.cjs (4 cases):
- Prunes decisions older than cutoff, keeps recent
- --dry-run reports changes without modifying STATE.md
- Prunes resolved blockers, keeps unresolved regardless of age
- Returns pruned:false when nothing exceeds cutoff
Scope items still deferred (to be filed as follow-up):
- Performance Metrics "By Phase" table row pruning — needs different
regex handling than prose lines
- Auto-prune via workflow.auto_prune_state at phase completion — needs
integration into cmdPhaseComplete
Also: the pre-existing test failure (2918/2919) is
tests/stale-colon-refs.test.cjs:83:3 "No stale /gsd: colon references
(#1748)". Verified failing on main, not introduced by this PR.
