fix(#2830): propagate a halted plan to its transitive dependents (#3038)
* test(#2830): add failing regression tests for halted-plan dependent blocking Add tests/fix-2830-halted-plan-dependents.test.cjs covering direct, transitive (2 and 3 hop), and diamond dependents of a halted plan across both independent "which plans are incomplete" readers (phase-plan-index's cmdPhasePlanIndex and findPhaseInternal/searchPhaseInDir), the negative case (an unrelated decoupled plan stays runnable), and a parity check that the two readers agree. Uses only modules that already exist at this commit (gsd-tools.cjs via subprocess, the pre-existing phase-locator.cjs) so the test file loads and runs cleanly on a fresh clone of this exact commit. These fail against current behavior: neither reader has any concept of a halted plan or a blocked_by/runnable view yet. * fix(#2830): a halted plan no longer leaves its dependents on the runnable work list A plan that reaches a designed stop still writes a SUMMARY, so both "which plans are incomplete" readers saw it as an ordinary completion and reported its dependents as ordinary runnable work — never checking whether an upstream plan had halted rather than finished. - New `status: halted` frontmatter value, documented in all four SUMMARY templates alongside the existing `status: complete`. - New shared src/plan-dependency-graph.cts: a single computeHaltPropagation pass that both phase.cts's cmdPhasePlanIndex (wave-grouping) and phase-locator.cts's searchPhaseInDir (the phase-location primitive, ~50 dependent symbols across 5 command routers) now call, so the two-implementation divergence that caused this bug cannot recur. It accepts an optional precomputedOrder so cmdPhasePlanIndex — which already runs Kahn's algorithm in computeDependencyLevels for wave assignment — passes that order straight through instead of a second traversal; searchPhaseInDir (no prior traversal) lets the module derive its own. The two small duplicated predicates each reader would otherwise carry (is this status "halted"?, which summary file matches which plan id?) are centralized in the same module as isHaltedStatus/buildSummaryFileIndex. - Additive fields only: `halted`/`blocked_by`/`runnable` on cmdPhasePlanIndex's plans[] and top level, `halted_plans`/`blocked_by`/ `runnable_plans` on searchPhaseInDir's result. The pre-existing `incomplete`/`incomplete_plans` fields are unchanged in meaning and membership. - execute-phase.md's discover_and_group_plans step now also skips any plan whose `blocked_by` is non-empty, reporting it by name with its blocking chain, in addition to (not instead of) the existing has_summary skip rule. Extends tests/fix-2830-halted-plan-dependents.test.cjs (introduced in the prior commit) with direct unit coverage of computeHaltPropagation (including the precomputedOrder call shape) and a fast-check property test — both only possible once this commit's new module exists. Closes #2830 * fix(#2830): surface the halt-aware view from init execute-phase The adopted work made phase-locator compute halted_plans / blocked_by / runnable_plans, but cmdInitExecutePhase builds its output by explicitly enumerating fields, so all three were computed and then silently dropped at the exact consumer the issue names as regressed. Forwards them additively -- incomplete_plans and incomplete_count keep their name, type and semantics byte-for-byte -- and adds the same three empty defaults to the roadmap-only fallback so the shape is consistent in both branches. Covered by a new test that drives the real CLI end to end rather than the locator function, since the locator already worked. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#2830): fail closed on dependency cycles and stop the templates inviting the defect Three review findings, all fixed: - BLOCKER (isolated adversarial). Cycle participants never reach indegree 0 in the Kahn pass, so they were excluded from the topological order, never visited by the forward pass, and vanished from blocked_by entirely -- i.e. reported as runnable. The wave-grouping reader hard-fails on a cycle so it never hit this, but the phase-location reader does not, so init execute-phase offered a plan depending directly on a halted plan. Reproduced, then fixed in the shared engine so every consumer is safe regardless of pre-checks: a node absent from the order is now blocked with a deterministic, non-empty named cause. A plan silently missing from both blocked_by and runnable is the exact disappearance this issue exists to prevent. - MAJOR (isolated adversarial). All four summary templates showed the field as an inline comment on the value line. Frontmatter parsing does not strip trailing comments, so an executor copying the templates' own presentation wrote a halt that parsed as a non-halted string, silently reproducing the original bug. Guidance moved off the value line, and the halt predicate now tolerates an unquoted trailing comment. - HARD standards violation. A test regex-matched child-process stderr prose for /cycle/i, which CONTRIBUTING bans. Replaced with the structured failure signal plus a differential assertion (same fixture without the cycle edge must succeed), so it stays cycle-specific without matching prose. Also folds the duplicated read-summary-and-check-halted wrapper out of both readers into the shared module -- centralizing only the predicate left the exact two-copies-that-drift pattern the module exists to prevent -- and commits the artifact-types documentation for the new status value. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(#2830): stop the property generator hanging the whole suite The remote runner did not fail -- it hung. Two containers sat in this file for 31+ minutes, and an earlier attempt ran 9 hours before I killed it. The runner passes --test-timeout=0, so nothing ever reaps it: this would have hung CI indefinitely, not reported a failure. Root cause: the DAG generator built edges by rejection -- from: fc.integer({ min: 0, max: n - 1 }) to: fc.integer({ min: 0, max: n - 1 }) .filter(({ from, to }) => from < to) With n === 1 both integers are forced to 0, so the predicate is unsatisfiable and fast-check retries value generation forever. n is drawn from 1..12 and fast-check biases toward boundary values, so n === 1 is reached almost at once. This also explains why the failing-first run completed normally while the fixed run hung: before the fix the graph module did not exist, so the property test threw on import and never reached generation. It only starts hanging once the code under test works. Generates the DAG by construction instead -- `to` is drawn strictly above `from`, with the degenerate single-node case short-circuited to an empty edge list -- so no rejection sampling is involved. Switches the import to the shared fast-check setup so the seed and run count are pinned per CONTRIBUTING, and adds a bounded regression guard that samples the arbitrary directly, so a future reintroduction fails loudly instead of hanging. Verified: the file now completes in 2 seconds, 29 tests started and 29 finished, zero failures, against an indefinite hang before. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#2830): restore the depends_on display contract and acknowledge the workflow growth Full-suite run surfaced two things the focused harnesses could not. 1. Regression of a pinned pre-existing contract (#3785). A refactor routed the EMITTED depends_on field through the new dependency resolver, which also consults the canonical-prefix map. The original consulted the plan map only, so a short canonical prefix passed through verbatim -- '24-01' stayed '24-01' rather than becoming '24-01-auth-hardening'. The emitted field is a DISPLAY mapping, not the DAG resolution, and #3785 pins that. Reverted with a comment recording why it must not use the resolver; full resolution is still used for the wave DAG and halt propagation, which is what needs it. 2. The workflow file grew 518 bytes without an acknowledgment, from the halt-aware skip rule and the widened parse contract. Acknowledged. Note on where the acknowledgment landed: the guidance is to add a NEW fragment, but execute-phase.md is already named by an existing fragment and the linter hard-fails when two ack sources name the same path. Appending to the owning fragment, following its own established multi-PR pattern, was the only lint-clean option. enhance(#1962): harden regression tests (PBT shrinking + oracle classification + boundaries) (#2409)
* test(#1962): add failing-first repro-hardening contract tests Epic #1957 Phase 3A. Source-text-is-the-product contract tests: PBT shrinking (fast-check/Hypothesis, minimized seed, manual-minimization degradation), the four oracle types (specified/derived/metamorphic/implicit with implicit flagged weakest), boundary neighbors (off-by-one/min-max/empty-singleton tied to the equivalence class), oracle_type in DEBUG Resolution, and the Phase 1A tie-in (minimized seed + real oracle => the mutation guardrail bites). Failing-first: reference, agent cross-refs, and template field do not yet exist. * feat(#1962): harden regression tests (PBT shrinking + oracle classification + boundaries) Epic #1957 Phase 3A. Extends Minimal Reproduction (shrinking) and Test-First Debugging (oracle classification + boundary neighbors): - Shrinking: wrap an input-space failing input in a property (fast-check JS/TS, Hypothesis Python) and store the MINIMIZED counterexample as the regression seed; degrade to manual minimization when no PBT framework is present. - Oracle classification: state specified / derived (contract/model) / metamorphic / implicit (crash, weakest) before writing the assertion; record under Resolution.oracle_type; never default to implicit silently. - Boundary neighbors: off-by-one, min/max, empty/singleton around the fixed defect's equivalence class. Together they turn the regression test into a root-cause check — what the Phase 1A mutation guardrail needs to bite. Full rules extracted to gsd-core/references/ debugger-repro-hardening.md. INVENTORY + manifest + agent-size baseline + install-parity goldens + AGENTS.md + DEBUG template updated. * fix(#1962): address orthogonal review (bounding, provenance, oracle scope, sufficient-triple) - HIGH: added a 'Bound the property/shrink run' section (60s timeout, degrade- to-manual on timeout, do-not-raise-default-run-limits, argv-not-shell) — the gauntlet violation the sibling references already honored. - Medium: test-provenance caveat (the failing input often comes from the bug report — author the generator from a sanitized description, cross-ref debugger-fix-acceptance.md). - Medium: oracle scope note — the 4 types cover deterministic bugs; non- deterministic failures re-route to stability-stress per bug-taxonomy. - Medium: Phase 1A tie-in corrected — seed+oracle is necessary not sufficient; boundary neighbors close the adjacent-input escape; the sufficient triple is seed+oracle+neighbors. - Low: preserve the original noisy repro as a secondary reference; operationalize 'equivalence class' (the predicate the fix draws). Nit: degradation reworded. * chore(#1962): backfill changeset pr number (PR #2409) --------- Co-authored-by: sim <sim@local> |

feat(#1961): add bug-taxonomy classification + strategy routing to gsd-debugger (#2407)
* test(#1961): add failing-first bug-taxonomy routing contract tests Epic #1957 Phase 2B. Source-text-is-the-product contract tests (3 taxonomy classes, explicit class->technique routing table, Bohrbug->repro+SBFL+bisect, Heisenbug->record-replay/stability+SKIP-SBFL, Concurrency->atomicity/order/ deadlock checklist, bug_class in DEBUG Current Focus, supersede-not-append) plus a routing-table specification object pinning the documented decisions (SBFL forbidden on Heisenbug is the load-bearing 1B/2B seam). Failing-first: reference, Phase 1.75, and routing-table reframe do not yet exist. * feat(#1961): add bug-taxonomy classification + strategy routing to gsd-debugger Epic #1957 Phase 2B (reliability-critical). Adds Phase 1.75: classify the failure as Bohrbug / Heisenbug-Mandelbug / Concurrency, then route the investigation technique via an explicit class->technique table (Kernighan: no opaque heuristic). Bohrbug -> reproduction + SBFL (Phase 1.25) + git bisect; Heisenbug/Mandelbug -> record-replay (rr) + stability-stress + statistical sampling, with SBFL explicitly SKIPPED (a flaky spectrum poisons the Ochiai ranking — the load-bearing 1B/2B seam); Concurrency -> the atomicity/order/deadlock checklist first. Reframes (supersedes, not appends — Zawinski) the flat 'Technique Selection by situation' table into a class-routed table; the 11 techniques remain as routed targets. bug_class recorded in Current Focus (DEBUG template); common-bug- patterns catalog cross-referenced to the taxonomy. Full rules extracted to gsd-core/references/debugger-bug-taxonomy.md. INVENTORY + manifest + agent-size baseline + install-parity goldens + AGENTS.md updated. * fix(#1961): address orthogonal review (phase-name drift, General lane, revoke framing, row-scoped tests, bounding) - HIGH: reference said 'Phase 1B' (epic shorthand); corrected to the deployed 'Phase 1.25' (matches the agent + SBFL reference). - HIGH: 6 of 11 techniques (Rubber duck, Delta, Working backwards, Differential, Comment-out, Follow-the-indirection) were orphaned by the situation-table reframe. Added a 'General (any class, situation-cued)' lane to BOTH the reference routing table and the agent's Technique Selection table that re-homes them — supersede-not-append now holds. - MEDIUM: the SBFL-skip is structurally retroactive (Phase 1.25 runs before Phase 1.75 classification), so reframed the table column from 'Do NOT use' to 'Revoke if already run' + an explicit 'retroactive revocation, not proactive skip' note stating the ordering honestly. - MEDIUM: contract tests are now row-scoped (parse the table by class, assert per-row) instead of presence-only; added a guard that the previously- orphaned techniques now have a General-lane route. - LOW: pinned the canonical bug_class value form (lowercase-kebab: bohrbug|heisenbug-mandelbug|concurrency; prose may use title-case). - NIT: added a 'Bound the Heisenbug-chase runs' note (rr/stability/sampling timeouts) per the unbounded-subprocess gauntlet. * chore(#1961): backfill changeset pr number (PR #2407) |

enhance(#1960): add RCA branching (fishbone + AND-gate) to gsd-debugger (#2405)
* test(#1960): add failing-first RCA-branching contract + schema-invariant tests Epic #1957 Phase 2A. Source-text-is-the-product contract tests (fishbone >=2 categories, AND-gate, multi-cause root_cause, backward compat, reasoning checkpoint candidate_causes+and_gate fields, debugger-philosophy single-cause note, DEBUG template) plus behavioral schema-invariant checks on two fixtures: two contributing causes (AND-gate yes) -> both recorded; single-cause (AND-gate no) -> one root_cause, identical to today. Failing-first: reference, agent edits, and template note do not yet exist. * feat(#1960): add RCA branching (fishbone + AND-gate) to gsd-debugger Epic #1957 Phase 2A. Guards against 5-Whys single-cause bias: before committing root_cause, the debugger enumerates candidate causes across >=2 Ishikawa categories (code/config/environment/data) and explicitly answers an AND-gate question. When the AND-gate fires, every contributing cause is recorded, so a multi-cause fix no longer recurs via the unaddressed second cause. Resolution.root_cause may hold one OR a small set (additive; single-cause sessions are byte-identical to today). The Structured Reasoning Checkpoint gains candidate_causes + and_gate fields; debugger-philosophy.md adds the single-cause-bias trap. Full rules extracted to gsd-core/references/debugger-rca-branching.md (slim Phase 2 routing + 2 checkpoint fields kept in the agent). INVENTORY + manifest + agent-size baseline + install-parity goldens + AGENTS.md + DEBUG template updated. * fix(#1960): address orthogonal review (AND-gate self-consistency, parity guard, narrowed claim, ripples) - Reference: the collapse rule now enforces AND-gate self-consistency — and_gate=yes with a single confirmed cause is flagged as incomplete (return to Phase 3); a race/timing note clarifies such bugs bridge categories; the 'byte-identical' backward-compat claim narrowed to 'root_cause shape unchanged; reasoning_checkpoint gains 2 fields in every session'. - DEBUG.md: stale 'five-field' mirror prose -> seven-field (parallel-surface drift the reviewer flagged); new debug-session-management parity test pins the field-count claim to the gsd-debugger.md YAML keys (CRLF-safe). - Scalar-assuming consumers of set-valued root_cause updated: session-manager compact summaries (319/332), diagnose-only return (1062), archive entry (1216), ROOT CAUSE FOUND return (1322). - Test: added the AND-gate-yes/single-cause invariant + fixture; rephrased the fixture describe block honestly as a schema-invariant specification. - Phase 2 bullet phrasing clarified ('at hypothesis formation, before the Phase 4 commit'). * test(#1960): parity regex accepts word-form count ('seven-field' or '7-field') * test(#1960): parity regex counts array-valued YAML keys (no inline value) * chore(#1960): backfill changeset pr number (PR #2405) |

feat(#1958): add multi-signal fix-acceptance guardrail to gsd-debugger (#2396)
* test(#1958): add failing-first guardrail contract tests Epic #1957 Phase 1A. Adds source-text-is-the-product tests asserting the 5-signal fix-acceptance guardrail contract (target test, mutation check, no-op/deletion detector, adjacent tests, revert-and-reconfirm), graceful degradation, FIX REJECTED BY GUARDRAIL return path, per-signal debug-file recording, and subprocess bounding. Failing-first: reference file and agent sections do not yet exist. * feat(#1958): add multi-signal fix-acceptance guardrail to gsd-debugger Epic #1957 Phase 1A. Prevents accepting a fix that merely greens the test (Goodhart defense / APR overfitting). Adds a 5-signal gate run before fix acceptance: target test, mutation check (Stryker), no-op/behavior-deleting detector, adjacent/held-out tests, revert-and-reconfirm. Degrades gracefully when Stryker or a test suite is absent (each skip logged, never a silent pass), records per-signal results under Resolution.verification, and returns a FIX REJECTED BY GUARDRAIL outcome the session-manager surfaces for revise / accept-as-debt / abandon. Full rules extracted to gsd-core/references/debugger-fix-acceptance.md (slim routing kept in the agent to respect the agent-size cap). Debug template + INVENTORY + manifest + agent-size baseline + AGENTS.md updated. * test(#1958): correct newline-tolerant assertion + regen install-parity goldens The revert-and-reconfirm assertion collapsed whitespace before matching so markdown line-wrapping does not break it. Regenerated the golden-install-parity and install-tree fixtures (npm run gen:golden) to absorb the intentional gsd-debugger.md / gsd-debug-session-manager.md / DEBUG.md / new reference-file changes to the installed artifact tree. * fix(#1958): tighten guardrail per orthogonal review Addresses the isolated reviewer's findings: - signal 5 now states its recorded-repro dependency and routes the no-repro case to the degradation row; revert mechanism specified (git stash / git revert -n); minimality flag tied to diff structure, not revert-ability. - bounded-subprocesses section now bounds the git subprocess (5-30s) too, requires argv-array argument passing, and scopes Stryker to the driving regression test (a mutant killed only by a non-driving test is a finding). - new test-provenance (security) clause: the driving test must be agent-authored; bug-report repro scripts are DATA, never executed verbatim. - tightened 3 contract assertions to bind to specific clauses (guardrail_verdict field, deletion-reject-unless-RCA, 60s+git bounding). - Goodhart framing softened to 'partially-independent'; DEBUG.md template verification field notes the nested map shape. * chore(#1958): backfill changeset pr number (PR #2396) * fix(#1958): add issue ref to allow-test-rule annotation (ADR-456) CI lint-allow-test-rule-refs requires every allow-test-rule exemption to carry a 'see #NNN' issue ref per ADR-456. The new test file's annotation lacked it; this adds (see #1958). |

fix(#2117): distinguish not-yet-validated phase from validated failure in audit-milestone
audit-milestone's Nyquist scan classified a phase from `nyquist_compliant` alone, so a phase seeded by plan-phase but never run through validate-phase read PARTIAL — identical to a phase that validated and genuinely failed. The template's `status` field could discriminate the two, but no workflow ever promoted it off `draft`, so it was dead. Make `status` live and read it: - validate-phase.md §6: set `status: validated` in both the create (State B) and update (State A) VALIDATION.md paths. - audit-milestone.md §5.5: parse `status`; add a distinct NOT-VALIDATED bucket keyed on `status: draft`, gate COMPLIANT/PARTIAL on `status: validated`, and report `not_validated_phases` in the audit YAML. - VALIDATION.md template: document the draft → validated lifecycle. Tests & generated artifacts: - Regression test folded into policy-138 (owning workflow-contract file); fail-first verified vs origin/next (0 matches pre-fix). - Regenerate golden-install-parity fixtures cleanly: adds the previously-missed qwen.json and removes a contaminated `settings.local.json` entry that had leaked into claude-local.json (the harness excludes hook-config files). - Correct a stale validate-phase.md workflow-size-baseline entry. feat(#1867): add UI Considerations section to UI-SPEC template (WIRE-02)
Record resolved UI-state considerations in the UI-SPEC, backward-compatibly (Phase 2, WIRE-02). templates/UI-SPEC.md gains a '## UI Considerations' section (analog of SPEC '## Edge Coverage') after '## Copywriting Contract' — a | Category | Element(s) | Status | Resolution / Reason | table with covered/backstop/unresolved rows in the locked probe-core projectTruths format the shipped plan-phase lift (plan-phase.md:921) reads. Empty/error COPY stays in Copywriting; this section covers shape-rooted STATE and references those rows (de-dup). Tests: docs-fixtures parsed-heading assertion (UI Considerations present + distinct from Copywriting Contract; allow-test-rule, parsed structure); typed backward-compat (projectTruths(undefined/[])===[], old UI-SPEC still plans — Hyrum), format-match, and idempotency (proposeElements determinism). The template-structure test was the RED driver. Install-parity cascade (INVENTORY-MANIFEST + 16 golden fixtures + agent-size-baseline) deferred to Phase 3 SHIP-01, as planned. fix(#1857): test gates normalize to one-shot + bounded timeout (no watch-mode hang)
A GSD verification gate resolves a project's test command and runs it. vitest defaults to WATCH mode in an interactive TTY — exactly where a user runs `gsd-execute-phase` — so a resolved `npm test`/`pnpm test` backed by vitest never exited and the orchestrator waited indefinitely. Recovery needed the user to manually prompt "something blocking?". Fix — one shared helper + a bounded, surfacing timeout on the test-command gates: - New pure module src/normalize-test-command.cts + `gsd-tools query normalize-test-command` verb: rewrites a resolved command to a best-effort one-shot form (direct vitest → `vitest run`; jest `--watch` → `--watchAll=false`; a package-manager `test` script whose package.json runner is watch-vitest → `CI=true` prefix; handles `--dir`; already-one-shot commands unchanged — never double-flagged). Named `normalize-test-command` (not `test-*`) so the file does not match node --test's default `test-*` discovery glob. - The three gates that HUNG or silently-continued route through that ONE helper and bound execution with `timeout $(config-get workflow.test_gate_timeout)` (new config key, default 600s): the regression gate (extracted to execute-phase/steps/regression-gate.md since execute-phase.md is size-frozen — it shrank 93528→93132; ABORTS on exit 124), the post-merge gate, and the audit-fix gate (previously an UNBOUNDED `eval`). All name watch/dev mode on 124. - verify-phase's gate was ALREADY bounded (a fixed `timeout 300`, not a hang), so it only gains the normalizer (so a watch runner exits fast) + a watch-mode hint on 124, staying under its frozen 40960-byte tier cap. Security hardening (review): the normalizer only rewrites a runner named as a standalone command TOKEN (so `run-vitest.js`/`make test-vitest`/paths are never mangled), is length-capped and uses only linear-time split-based scanning (no super-linear backtracking on an adversarial `workflow.test_command`), and reads package.json only when it is a regular file (never blocks on a FIFO via `--dir`). Config key `workflow.test_gate_timeout` (seconds, default 600) registered in the schema manifest + templates/config.json + docs/CONFIGURATION.md (mirrors workflow.cross_ai_timeout). New module registered in .gitignore, eslint ignores, inventory manifest/index. All 16 golden-install-parity fixtures + workflow size baseline regenerated for the changed shipped files; bin/lib is excluded from the parity manifest. Tests: tests/normalize-test-command.test.cjs (normalizer units incl. security hardening) and tests/test-gate-watch-mode.test.cjs (the three core gates route through the shared helper + configured timeout + exit-124 watch-mode hint; verify-phase asserted as normalize-only/already-bounded). tests/execute-phase-active-flags.test.cjs repointed at the extracted step; tests/planner-language-regression.test.cjs allowlist comment updated. fix(#1626): make the security gate severity-aware via per-threat severity (#1635)
workflow.security_block_on was documented as the minimum threat severity that blocks advancement, but threats carried no severity and the auditor's threats_open count (the SECURITY.md gate field) counted every open threat regardless of severity — so the threshold had no effect, and the auditor's block_on vocabulary (open/unregistered/none) did not even match the config enum (critical/high/medium/low/none). - planner: add a Severity column to the STRIDE threat register; assign severity per threat. - auditor: read severity; reconcile the <config> block_on domain to the severity enum; redefine threats_open as the count of OPEN threats whose severity is at or above block_on (none => 0). Below-threshold opens are reported as non-blocking and excluded from threats_open. - SECURITY.md template + planning-config.md reconciled. No gate-check site changed: threats_open == 0 stays the gate everywhere; only its computation is now severity-filtered. Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(#1602): deterministic coverage-metadata UAT routing for verify-work
Add an optional structured `coverage:` block to SUMMARY.md frontmatter and a deterministic classifier that `verify-work` consumes to route deliverables to auto-pass vs human-UAT — replacing the rejected #1598/#1599 post-hoc heuristic. - New `src/coverage.cts` (→ bin/lib/coverage.cjs) parses the nested coverage block (extractFrontmatter can't — its `-` items are scalars-only; this is a focused parser, sibling of parseMustHavesBlock), validates each entry, and classifies into auto_passed vs present. Frozen MODE/PRESENT_REASON/ERROR_CODE typed-IR surface. Exposed via `uat classify-coverage --summary <f>`. - Auto-pass is the narrow proven case only: strict-boolean human_judgment:false AND non-empty all-`pass` verification AND zero validation errors. Everything else — judgment, empty/failing verification, malformed entry — routes to the human (fail-safe). A malformed block falls back to legacy prose extraction and surfaces an error; an absent block is byte-identical to pre-#1602. - execute-plan create_summary populates the block (fail-safe default human_judgment:true); verify-work extract_tests consumes it; create_uat_file marks auto-passed entries `source: automated`. - Templates (summary + 3 variants), CONTEXT.md predicate + glossary, INVENTORY, eslint/gitignore registration, and Diataxis docs (COMMANDS reference + USER-GUIDE explanation) updated. - Behavioral tests via the CLI (no source-grep); parser-robustness regressions for the null-entry/comment-header/mis-indent cases found in adversarial review. enh(#966): gate behavior-dependent truths on behavioral evidence in gsd-verifier (#1271)
* enh(#966): gate behavior-dependent truths on behavioral evidence in gsd-verifier Introduce a per-truth PRESENT_BEHAVIOR_UNVERIFIED state for must-haves that assert a state transition or a cancellation/cleanup/ordering invariant whose only evidence is symbol presence + wiring. Such truths are excluded from the verified_truths score, reported as a behavior_unverified count, recorded in an always-on behavior_unverified_items frontmatter list, and routed to the existing human_needed sink — so a clean N/N can no longer be reached on symbol presence alone. The overall-status vocabulary and the src/verification.cts seam are unchanged (the new state is per-truth only); gaps_found keeps decision-tree precedence; override-passed truths still count toward verified_truths. Mirrors the calibration into the shipped verify-phase.md workflow (with an infra/foundation carve-out), the VERIFICATION.md templates, and docs (planning-artifacts.md, AGENTS.md). gsd-verifier.md kept under its 48KB LARGE cap; size baselines regenerated. feat(spec-phase): prohibition probe — surface "must-NOT" constraints (#644) (#1149)
Adds the spec-time prohibition probe (spec-phase Step 5.6) — the second adapter of the probe-core resolution model. Surfaces unwritten must-NOT constraints as negative SPEC acceptance criteria with test/judgment verification tiers; fail-closed at verify time. Per ADR-550. Closes #644. |

fix(#1098): guard generate-claude-md against clobbering hand-crafted files; redirect default to .claude/CLAUDE.md (#1118)
/gsd-new-project wrote a repo-root CLAUDE.md full of broad project docs, overwriting/diluting a hand-crafted instruction file. --force was parsed but silently dropped, and nothing guarded an existing non-GSD file. - Guard: an existing instruction file with no `<!-- GSD:<section>-start` markers (hand-crafted) is left untouched; report action:"skipped". --force (now wired through CmdGenerateClaudeMdOptions) overwrites intentionally. The marker check uses /<!-- GSD:[a-z]+-start/ so a file merely documenting GSD syntax is safe. - Redirect: the Claude-family default output is now ./.claude/CLAUDE.md (a valid auto-loaded project-memory location) instead of repo-root ./CLAUDE.md. Aligned across the handler default, config-defaults.manifest.json, buildNewProjectConfig, the config template, new-project.md, and cmdGenerateClaudeProfile; advisory read-CLAUDE.md hints in plan-phase/quick/profile-user updated. Codex still writes AGENTS.md. Closes #1098 Co-authored-by: github-actions[bot] <41898282+github-actions[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(spec-phase): spec-completeness edge-probe (#550) (#584)
* feat(spec-phase): spec-completeness edge-probe (#550) — relocated to gsd-core/
Rebased onto current next and relocated the whole feature from get-shit-done/ to
gsd-core/ per #615 (trek-e re-review #4, option 1). The artifact now builds to
gsd-core/bin/lib/edge-probe.cjs; all hard-coded path strings (tests, workflow
@-refs, run-tests.cjs sentinel, eslint ADR-457 ignore, .gitignore) updated.
Content conflicts in .gitignore / eslint.config.mjs / run-tests.cjs resolved.
Feature: Step 5.5 edge-completeness probe walks each SPEC requirement against a
closed 8-category edge taxonomy, proposes applicable candidate edges, and resolves
each (covered/dismissed/backstop/unresolved). covered/backstop criteria are lifted
by plan-phase into must_haves.truths, extending the goal-backward verifier's reach
to boundary edges no requirement was written for. Engine authored as strict TS
(src/edge-probe.cts, ADR-457), compiled to the gitignored gsd-core/bin/lib/edge-probe.cjs.
Folds in every prior review round on PR #584:
- RR-01..03: plan-phase resolves the phase *-SPEC.md and injects {SPEC_PATH} into the
planner; must_haves<->Edge-Coverage quality_gate; held-out planner-contract test.
- RR-04/11: Step 5.5 invokes the compiled engine at runtime (npm --prefix-pinned,
source-checkout-gated build fallback) instead of LLM re-derivation; the engine
capture is exit-checked and the report JSON-validated before use (fail closed).
- RR-05..10: all six fixtures embedded + count-equality; backstop/covered require a
resolution; Array.isArray(shapes); duplicate-resolution rejection; CLI JSON exit(2);
per-artifact build sentinel.
- Authored-shape validation: invalid (non-empty) shapes fail closed (VALID_SHAPES).
- Adversarial-review hardening: orphan/typo resolution rejection, requirement input
validation (id/text/shapes, duplicate id, non-array), zero-applicable guard.
Full suite 0 failures; npm run lint 0 errors; edge-probe suite 72/72.
* test(#550): RED — status×verification re-cut + probe-core engine specs
Re-cut the edge-probe resolution model onto two orthogonal axes per
ADR-550 Decision 7 (trek-e #644 comments 2026-06-03 14:36 + 14:44):
status: resolved | dismissed | unresolved (lifecycle, shared)
verification: explicit | backstop | null (only when resolved)
- tests/probe-core.test.cjs (new): behavioral specs for the generic engine
to be extracted — validateResolution(r, validators), validateRequirement,
analyzeCoverage(items, resolutions?, validators), byVerification rollup,
runProbeCli I/O scaffold (injected-io unit tests).
- tests/edge-probe.test.cjs: covered→{resolved,explicit}, backstop→
{resolved,backstop}; coverage gains byVerification.{explicit,backstop};
proposeEdges items gain verification:null.
- 6 fixtures re-genned + re-embedded in edge-probe.md; coverage.resolved
COUNT preserved on every fixture (closed set = resolved+dismissed; doc
line: 'adjacency=covered + ordering=dismissed' -> 2). edge-probe.md prose
rewritten to the two-axis model.
Fails as expected: probe-core.cjs has no source yet; edge-probe still
emits the old covered/backstop enum (27/61 edge specs red).
* feat(#550): extract probe-core seam + refactor edge-probe onto it (ADR-550 D7)
Extract the generic resolution model into src/probe-core.cts (the shared
seam the prohibition probe #644 is born on) and refactor edge-probe.cts
into its first adapter.
probe-core owns (probe-agnostic):
- the status×verification re-cut: status: resolved|dismissed|unresolved ×
verification: <probe-defined>|null
- validateResolution(r, validators) / validateRequirement (generic id+text)
- analyzeCoverage(items, resolutions?, validators) over ALREADY-PROPOSED
items[] (core never assumes propose is deterministic — edge resolves via
LLM, #644 proposes via LLM), with merge / dup-reject / orphan-reject
- byVerification rollup; coverage.resolved = closed set (resolved+dismissed),
count-preserved from the pre-re-cut engine
- runProbeCli I/O scaffold (injected io; one bin per probe)
- hybrid typing: generic params + injected runtime validators
{categories, verification, requiredFieldsByVerification} (ADR-550 #5)
edge-probe keeps ONLY the edge cluster: Shape/SHAPE_CUES/VALID_SHAPES/
classifyShape/TAXONOMY/applicableCategories/proposeEdges + EDGE_VALIDATORS
{explicit,backstop}; delegates merge/rollup/CLI to probe-core. Every shipped
#584 guarantee preserved (fail-closed shapes, orphan/dup rejection, input
validation, CLI exit 2). 104/104 edge+probe-core+docs+contract specs green.
* chore(#550): register probe-core.cjs artifact in ledgers + inventory
New gitignored build artifact gsd-core/bin/lib/probe-core.cjs (compiled
from src/probe-core.cts) needs registering in every artifact ledger:
- .gitignore + eslint.config.mjs ADR-457 ignore: lint the .cts source,
never the emitted .cjs.
- scripts/run-tests.cjs per-artifact build sentinel: build if probe-core.cjs
is missing on a clean checkout.
- docs/INVENTORY.md: CLI Modules 83 -> 84, new probe-core.cjs row, and the
edge-probe.cjs row updated to reflect it is now the first probe-core adapter.
- docs/INVENTORY-MANIFEST.json: regenerated (gen-inventory-manifest.cjs --write).
probe-core.test.cjs is a single test file (under the 2-file cap), so no
lint-test-file-count allowlist entry is needed.
* docs(adr-550): spec-phase probe pattern + prohibition contract [Accepted]
trek-e's final ADR-550 body, verbatim (open-gsd/gsd-core#644 comment
2026-06-03T15:23Z), Accepted by both maintainer and #550 author. Lands on
PR #584 alongside the probe-core extraction (Decision 7) it governs, so the
contract and its first implementation arrive together.
Decisions: probe packaging (3 layers); recall->precision protocol;
prohibition home = SPEC acceptance criteria + optional must_haves.prohibitions:
(truths untouched, no polarity); tiered verification test|judgment
(judgment = mode-dependent soft-gate-with-flags, never silent pass / never
hard-halt); CI tests the contract not the classifier; secure-phase ownership
seam; and Decision 7 — probe-core seam + status×verification re-cut (7a-7e),
which this PR implements.
* feat(#550): fail-closed probe-core across full status×verification + runProbeCli structural guard
Re-review #5 (trek-e) seam-hardening on the generic probe-core contract #644 inherits:
- validateResolution now enforces the 'verification is null unless resolved'
invariant for EVERY status (not just resolved): a dismissed/unresolved
resolution carrying a verification tier is rejected instead of merging verbatim.
- An unresolved resolution carrying a resolution/reason payload is rejected
(was silently dropped into the unresolved count).
- runProbeCli structurally validates the report an adapter returns before writing
it (was: any malformed object stringified as green output) — fails closed → exit 2.
- coverage.resolved kept count-preserved (closed set) per the blessed migration
contract; a new test locks that an all-dismissed run is NOT affirmatively covered
(byVerification is the honest gate).
Tests: probe-core 37/37; full edge-probe suite 113/113; full suite 1816/1816; lint 0.
* docs(adr-550): annotate Decision 5 #584/#644 scope + correct 7a coverage.resolved semantics
Re-review #5 (trek-e) clarity edits:
- Decision 5: annotate that only contract item (a) ships on #584 (the edge
adapter's parse+validate test); (b)–(d) are #644 scope, matching Consequences.
- Decision 7a: correct the 'coverage.resolved is preserved (status === resolved)'
parenthetical — the blessed/implemented semantics are count-preserved = the
CLOSED set (resolved + dismissed = applicable − unresolved), with byVerification
carrying the per-tier resolved-status breakdown. The old parenthetical
contradicted the shipped count.
* test(#550): cover runProbeCli structural-guard numeric-count branch
Second-pass coverage audit found the 'coverage object present but counts
non-numeric' branch of isValidReport (built probe-core.cjs:60-61) unexercised —
the {nope:true} malformed test fails earlier at the items[] check. Add a report
with well-formed items[] + a coverage object carrying non-numeric counts so the
numeric branch is hit. No source change; closes the line gap.
* fix(#550): reject edge requirement with missing/empty text when no shapes override (M2)
The edge adapter's `text` is the classification signal and a required field, but
core `validateRequirement` left it optional, so a `{ id }` requirement classified to
zero shapes -> zero edges -> was silently DROPPED from coverage with no signal -- the
exact fail-open this feature exists to eliminate. Reject missing/empty text unless an
authored `shapes` override (incl. `[]`) opts out of prose classification.
* fix(#550): validate verbatim items in analyzeCoverage shared seam (m1)
A proposed item with no matching author resolution is rolled up VERBATIM, but its own
status/fields were never validated -- an item carrying an out-of-enum status (the dropped
"covered") or `dismissed` without a reason would be counted closed. The edge adapter only
proposes `unresolved` items, but the prohibition adapter (#644) proposes LLM-generated
items that arrive populated. An Item is structurally a superset of a Resolution, so reuse
validateResolution to fail closed. ADR-550 Decision 5 hardens this shared seam.
* fix(#550): move edge-coverage lift instruction to runtime planner surface (M1)
templates/planner-subagent-prompt.md is loaded by nothing at runtime (no @-import in
agents/gsd-planner.md; plan-phase.md spawns the planner from its own inline
<planning_context>), so the precise covered/backstop -> must_haves.truths lift instruction
this PR added there never reached the planner -- and the RR-02 contract test asserted it in
that dead file, giving false green. Move the instruction into plan-phase.md's runtime
<downstream_consumer> block (where the rest of the wire already lives), revert the dead-template
edit, and retarget RR-02 to the loaded surface with a guard against re-orphaning.
* test(#550): lock machine<->SPEC vocabulary mapping against drift (m2)
The machine contract uses orthogonal status x verification; the SPEC table renders a flat
covered/dismissed/backstop/unresolved. The migration map (ADR-550 Decision 7a) was prose-only
with no test, so the layers could silently drift. The SPEC table is LLM-rendered (no JS
renderer to round-trip), so pin the canonical bijection as code AND ground it in every doc
surface that renders the vocabulary (ADR migration clause, spec.md legend, reference mapping
table) -- a rename or remap now fails the suite.
* docs(#550): add how-to for resolving edge-coverage findings (B1)
Feature shipped reference coverage (FEATURES.md, COMMANDS.md, references/edge-probe.md) but
no how-to -- reference-only does not satisfy the Diataxis docs standard for a user-facing
capability. Add a single-mode how-to (imperative, goal-directed) walking each resolution
state (specify/dismiss/backstop/defer), the soft gate, and --auto, with taxonomy/concepts
linked out to the reference. Register it in the docs/how-to index.
* docs(#550): add Probe Core + Edge Probe glossary entries to CONTEXT.md (N1)
trek-e re-review #7 N1 (Major): adding probe-core/edge-probe as src/*.cts-derived
seam modules (ADR-550 Decision 7) requires CONTEXT.md Domain-terms glossary entries
per the maintainer-enforced new-seam gate. Adds '### Probe Core Module' and
'### Edge Probe Module' with exports, generated source paths, and the ADR-550 seam
contract, placed beside the Research Module feature-seam entries.
* test(#550): add fast-check property suite for probe-core analyzeCoverage (N2)
trek-e re-review #7 N2 (RULESET.TESTS.property-based-testing): analyzeCoverage is a
transformation/rollup module, the class the property-testing predicate covers, and
fast-check is already a dependency with an established *.property.test.cjs pattern.
Adds 5 properties over the algebraic invariants: closed-set identity
(applicable === resolved + unresolved), byVerification sums ≤ resolved, per-tier
recount + resolved-status-only counting, rollup determinism, and stable orphan
rejection. 200 runs/seed 42 via helpers/fast-check-setup.cjs.
* test(#550): align allow-test-rule tokens to canonical runtime-contract-is-the-product (N3)
trek-e re-review #7 N3 (Nit): the // allow-test-rule: tokens (source-text-is-the-product,
docs-parity) differed from CONTEXT.md's canonical exemption category
'runtime-contract-is-the-product' (RULESET.TESTS.no-source-grep.exemption, CONTEXT.md:240).
All three tests assert deployed runtime-contract surfaces (spec-phase.md Step 5.5, the
plan-phase.md planner prompt, the rendered reference/SPEC/ADR vocabulary), so the canonical
category fits; each now carries a one-line justification per the ruleset format. Free-text
reason — lint behavior unchanged.
* test(#550): re-baseline plan-phase + spec-phase byte sizes for edge-probe

feat(templates): add optional Business Context section to PROJECT.md template (#756)
* feat(templates): add optional Business Context section to PROJECT.md template Adds an optional `## Business Context` section (Customer, Revenue model, Success metric, Strategy notes) between Core Value and Requirements, for monetized or customer-facing projects. Optional by default — an HTML comment tells non-business projects to delete it; capped at four one-line fields to stay a constraint reference, not a business plan. The milestone evolution review in complete-milestone.md checks it only when the section is present. Refs #72 * chore(changeset): set pr number for #72 fragment * test(#72): add source-text-is-the-product exemption marker Addresses review Minor #1 on PR #756. The contract test reads the PROJECT.md template and complete-milestone workflow .md files and asserts on their content (the local/no-source-grep pattern). Those .md files ARE the product surface, so this is a valid source-text-is-the-product case. Add the explicit // allow-test-rule marker per RULESET.TESTS.no-source-grep.exemption so intent is audit-traceable before the rule promotes to error (#453). --------- Co-authored-by: Tom Boucher <trekkie@nomorestars.com> |

fix(#950): emit status: complete in quick-task SUMMARY frontmatter (#951)
* fix(#950): emit status: complete in quick-task SUMMARY frontmatter Add `status: complete` to all four SUMMARY templates (summary.md, summary-minimal.md, summary-standard.md, summary-complex.md), to the executor agent's documented frontmatter field list, and to the quick.md executor constraints block. The audit-open milestone-close scanner (scanQuickTasks) reads this field to decide whether a quick task is done; without it the scanner falls back to `[unknown]` and false-flags finished tasks as open. Writer-side fix; the scanner is correct and unchanged. Blast-radius: no other scanner reads `status:` from phase-plan SUMMARY files. Phase disk_status is derived from file-count heuristics only. Adding the field to the shared template is therefore safe and the value `complete` is semantically accurate for a finished plan. Regression test: tests/bug-950-quick-summary-status-complete.test.cjs - RED: 4 template-contract tests fail before fix, behavioral tests pass - GREEN: all 8 tests pass after fix Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore: add changeset for fix/950-quick-summary-status-complete (#951) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(#950): assert writer-path contract + scope template checks to YAML frontmatter (adversarial review) - Add `// allow-test-rule: source-text-is-the-product` at file top (before block comment) - Add `extractFrontmatter()` helper that handles both leading-frontmatter files (summary-minimal/standard/complex.md) and fenced-frontmatter files (summary.md, whose frontmatter is embedded inside a ```markdown fence) — assertions now target the actual YAML block, not the whole file - Scope all four [TEMPLATE CONTRACT] tests through extractFrontmatter() so a stray `status: complete` in prose/examples cannot produce a false green; error messages now print the extracted block to aid diagnosis - Add [WRITER-PATH] quick.md test: asserts the <constraints> block instructs the executor to write `status: complete` in SUMMARY frontmatter - Add [WRITER-PATH] gsd-executor.md test: asserts the Frontmatter spec documents `status: complete` as a required field - Sanity-checked: guards fail when `status: complete` is removed from a template or from quick.md, and pass once restored Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> --------- Co-authored-by: github-actions[bot] <41898282+github-actions[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

chore(#604): rename get-shit-done/ runtime directory to gsd-core/ (#615)
* chore(#604): rename get-shit-done/ runtime directory to gsd-core/ Renames the installed runtime directory `get-shit-done/` to `gsd-core/` so the on-disk name matches the package (`@opengsd/gsd-core`), repo, and binary (`gsd-tools`). The npm package name and binary are unchanged; npx/npm consumers are unaffected. Mechanical (bulk, ~90% of the diff): - `git mv get-shit-done gsd-core` - Swept path/identifier references across the repo via `perl -pe 's/get-shit-done(?!-\w)/gsd-core/g'`. The negative lookahead preserves the five legitimate slug variants that are NOT the directory: get-shit-done-{OLD,cc,classic,cli,redux} (old package/repo names). - Build/manifest wiring: package.json (bin, files, coverage globs), tsconfig.build.json (outDir), ~86 .gitignore build-output entries, stryker.config.mjs, scan-ignore files, install.js path strings. - Frozen (not rewritten): CHANGELOG.md history; translated docs (README.<locale>.md and docs/{ja-JP,ko-KR,pt-BR,zh-CN}/). New logic (review here): - src/installer-migrations/003-rename-get-shit-done-to-gsd-core.cts: a proper ADR-0008 installer migration. On upgrade it walks the legacy `~/.claude/get-shit-done/` tree, classifies each file via the prior install manifest, and emits remove-managed / backup-and-remove for managed files while PRESERVING unknown user-added files. Symlink-safe (skips a symlinked root and symlinked entries; bounds-checks every path under configDir). The framework rolls back on install failure. Emptied dirs may remain (framework has no recursive dir-removal primitive) — documented. - scripts/lint-legacy-dir-name.cjs: CI regression guard forbidding the bare `get-shit-done` directory token (split token to avoid self-match; case- insensitive; `(?!-\w)` lookahead allows the slug variants; allowlists CHANGELOG, translated docs, and `gsd-allow-legacy-name` marker lines). Wired into the lint-tests CI job. - Restored scripts/lint-package-identity-drift.cjs detection regexes (the mechanical sweep had wrongly rewritten the old-name patterns it exists to detect) and marked them as intentional legacy references. - TDD tests for the migration and the guard; do.md slash-command guard regex tightened so a `/gsd-core/bin` path segment is not mistaken for a command; changeset + docs/installer-migrations.md row added. Breaking: the installed runtime path moves `~/.claude/get-shit-done/` -> `~/.claude/gsd-core/`. Migration 003 removes the stale legacy dir's managed files (preserving user files) on upgrade. Users with custom hooks/configs hardcoding the old path must update them. Closes #604 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): unsweep pending changesets + allowlist injection-example docs CI fixes for the rename PR: - Do not sweep pending .changeset/*.md (ephemeral release-note fragments, like CHANGELOG); reverted those body edits so 5 pre-existing malformed fragments (missing type/pr) no longer enter the PR diff and trip docs-lint. Allowlisted .changeset/ in the legacy-name guard accordingly. - Allowlisted TEST-EXAMPLES.md and docs/explanation/security-model.md in prompt-injection-scan.sh: they contain intentional injection examples / security-model prose; the path-reference rewrites are kept. CodeQL alerts on this PR are pre-existing (alert lines unchanged by this PR; none in the new migration/guard) and are out of scope for the rename. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): resolve CodeQL alerts surfaced on this PR The rename diff touched files carrying pre-existing CodeQL findings; per the no-pre-existing-dismissal rule, fixing every surfaced alert rather than waving them off. All behavior-preserving: - scripts/ci-test-scope.cjs: build the config-path match from string .includes() instead of a RegExp over an arg-derived value (js/regex-injection). - src/profile-output.cts: escape backslashes before pipe-escaping desc/safeName so the table-cell escape is complete (js/incomplete-sanitization). - tests/{bug-2643,bug-2808,docs-parity-live-registry}: two-pass HTML-comment strip so a bare/unclosed `<!--` cannot survive (js/incomplete-multi-character-sanitization). - tests/inline-plan-threshold: drop the no-op `\s`->`\s` identity replace, keep the meaningful POSIX-class conversion (js/identity-replacement). Verified: build:lib green; the touched test files + ci-test-scope + profile-output suites pass; lint:legacy-name clean. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): correctly resolve remaining CodeQL alerts (regex-injection + sanitization) The prior commit's fixes for two alerts were ineffective: - ci-test-scope.cjs js/regex-injection: the alert is the CLI-arg-derived `file` reaching static regex `.test(file)` calls (not the config rule). Removed ALL regex over file/t — startsWith/includes/=== string checks + an isWindowsHint helper — so there is no regex sink for the tainted value. - js/incomplete-multi-character-sanitization (3 test files): a single `.replace(/<!--...-->/g,'')` can let `<!--` re-form. Replaced with a fixpoint loop (replace until stable) plus a final bare-opener strip. Verified: no regex over file/t remains; ci-test-scope + the 3 test suites pass; lint:legacy-name clean. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): make ci-test-scope + comment-strippers regex-free to clear CodeQL CodeQL flags the regex PATTERNS syntactically (regex-injection on the --files arg split; incomplete-multi-character-sanitization on the <!--...--> replace), so loop fixes do not satisfy it. Made these paths regex-free: - ci-test-scope.cjs splitFiles: char-by-char separator tokenizer (no /[,\\s]+/). - 3 test files: indexOf/slice HTML-comment stripper (no .replace(/<!--/)). Behavior preserved; ci-test-scope + the 3 suites pass; guard clean. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): unblock security base64 scan on the large rename diff The security job hit its 10m timeout: base64-scan.sh choked on the binary test fixture tests/feat-3594-parser-property-style.test.cjs (embedded NUL/ non-UTF8 bytes -> thousands of bogus blobs + "ignored null byte" warnings), and the ~800-file rename diff is slow to scan regardless. - scripts/base64-scan.sh: skip binary-by-content files (grep -Iq .) — they can't carry base64-obfuscated *text* and feeding NUL bytes through the per-line scanner is pathologically slow. collect_files already filtered binary *extensions*; this catches binary *content* in text extensions. - .github/workflows/security-scan.yml: raise the security job timeout 10m->30m to accommodate very large diffs (the scan itself is unchanged). Verified locally: scan skips the fixture, 0 "ignored null byte" warnings, 0 findings, exit 0. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): sweep get-shit-done refs introduced by merging next The branch was updated with next (#614/#384/#618 etc.), which reference the get-shit-done/ dir (still named that on next). Swept the stale references in the merged files to gsd-core so the rename stays consistent and lint:legacy-name passes: - commands/gsd/discuss-phase.md (runtime-launcher shim paths) - src/core.cts (getAgentsDir layout comments) - tests/bug-384-agents-runtime-aware.test.cjs (require path to runtime lib) Verified: guard 0 violations; build green. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): exclude gsd-core/ path segments from bug-3683 command cross-ref invariant The #614 runtime-launcher shim added to discuss-phase.md references `${_GSD_RUNTIME_ROOT}/gsd-core/bin/...`. bug-3683's REF_PATTERN excluded path-y refs only via lookbehind, but `}` precedes `/gsd-core/` in the shim, so it mis-read the directory path as a dangling `/gsd-core` command ref (same class as the #604 bug-2954 fix). Added a trailing `(?![\w-]*\/)` so `/gsd-<x>/...` path segments are not treated as slash-command references. Verified locally on BOTH platforms before pushing: - mac (node 26) full suite: 0 failures - gsd-test-runner (linux, node22 image) full suite: 0 failures - bug-3683 + bug-2954 pass. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): lazily resolve findProjectRoot in gsd-tools (harden flaky CI) CI intermittently failed state.test's gsd-tools subprocess with "findProjectRoot is not a function" (flip-flopping across legs; not reproducible on mac full suite, gsd-test linux full suite, test:unit, or state.test x8). findProjectRoot is a re-export from core.cjs (sourced from project-root.cjs); binding it via destructure at module-load can be undefined under a load-ordering edge. Resolve it lazily at call time via a small wrapper so the lookup happens after core.cjs is fully initialized. Verified green on BOTH platforms before pushing: - mac (node 26) full suite: 0 failures - gsd-test-runner (linux, node22) full suite: 0 failures - state.test.cjs: 106/106; gsd-tools loads cleanly. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(#604): allowlist verification-patterns.md placeholder examples in secret scan The rename git-mv'd references/verification-patterns.md into gsd-core/, pulling it into the secret-scan diff. It documents stub/placeholder RED-FLAG env-var examples (illustrative Stripe test-key / database-URL / API-key placeholders) — not real credentials. Added it to .secretscanignore with the strict annotation, mirroring the existing gsd-core/workflows/plan-phase.md exception. Verified locally: secret-scan-lint --strict OK; secret-scan --diff origin/next exits 0 with 0 findings.
